# Swap

Want to swap tokens on SONEX? Don't worry, it's easy! Just follow the steps below and you’ll be done in a few minutes.

1. **Open the Page and Connect Your Wallet**\
   First, make sure you’re on the SONEX Swap page. Next, connect your wallet:
   * Look for the wallet icon at the top right and click it.
   * Choose your wallet (such as MetaMask, OKX Wallet, etc.).
   * Authorize the connection, and once your wallet is linked, your address will be displayed.

<figure><img src="/files/qnVfW3oPZm61ttF2716s" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. **Choose the Token You Want to Pay With**\
   On the left side of the page, there is a box called "You Pay." Here, select the token and amount you want to pay:

* Click the “Select Token” button in the box.
* A list will pop up where you can choose a token (for example, SONE, ASTR, or USDC.e). This is the token you’ll use to pay.
* Enter the amount, or simply click “50%” or “Max” to quickly select a portion or your full balance.

<figure><img src="/files/PSxGTnxW6TwfqP75kFST" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. **Choose the Token You Want to Receive**\
   On the right side, the box is labeled "You Receive." Here, select the token you want to receive:

* Again, click “Select Token.”
* Choose a token from the list (for example, SONE or USDC.e).
* The system will automatically calculate and display the amount you’ll receive.
* Price impact and slippage tolerance are also displayed.

4. **Adjust Transaction Settings (Optional)**\
   Click the small gear icon above the right box to adjust some transaction parameters:

* **Slippage:**\
  The default slippage is 0.5%, which should work for most transactions.\
  If you want more accuracy, you can choose “Custom” and enter a slippage value, such as 0.1% or 1%.
* **Transaction Time:**\
  The default is 20 minutes, meaning the transaction must complete within 20 minutes.\
  If you need more time, you can adjust it to something like 30 minutes.\
  After making adjustments, close the window and move on to the next step.

<figure><img src="/files/r3XkRne4lw4rd2zR6Jco" alt="" width="315"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

5. **Confirm and Submit the Transaction**\
   Once you’ve set everything up, return to the main page:

* Double-check the tokens and amounts on both the left and right sides to ensure they’re correct.
* If everything looks good, click the “Swap” button in the center.
* A confirmation window will pop up where you can review the transaction details.
* Click confirm, and then sign the transaction in your wallet.\
  Wait a few seconds, and your tokens will be swapped!

**Tips**

* **Slippage:** A lower slippage can save you money, but if the market is volatile, setting the slippage too low might cause the transaction to fail. 0.5% or 1% usually works well.
* **Balance:** Make sure you have enough tokens in your wallet and leave some for transaction fees (Gas).

**Frequently Asked Questions**

* **What if my transaction fails?**
  * Check if the slippage is set too low. Try increasing it slightly.
  * Ensure your token balance is sufficient.
* **How do I switch networks?**
  * Look for the network selection icon in the top right, click it, and follow the prompts to switch to the correct blockchain network.

It’s that simple! Next time you want to swap tokens, just open SONEX and follow this tutorial. You’ll be good to go!
